Working from home now, or in short WFH is no longer a new trend because we have been practicing
it for more than a year. Undoubtedly, there are advantages and disadvantages to WFH. In this
article, I will share some of the key benefits of WFH.
Remember that WFH today does not mean you are on your own. Currently, many progressive
companies allow their employees work from home or prefer to hire people (Freelancers etc.) who do
not need an office and like to work from home.

1. Save money and time.
People who work from home can save up more money. Gas, car maintenance,
transportation cost, parking fees, lunches bought out, and more can all be reduced or
eliminated from your spending entirely. Meanwhile, in terms of saving time, WFH people get
to remove their daily commute routine. Time spent commuting has also been linked to
increased levels of stress and health problems. Hence, WFH could help reduce unhealthy
lifestyle.
2. Home office
Being able to create a comfortable home office is an excellent benefit of remote work.
Whether you simply want a cushy chair or have health issues that require specialized office
equipment, you can set up your home office and make it into however you want it to be.

3. Improvement in health and wellness.
The benefit of WFH is that you will not spend time getting to and from your office. As such,
you will have the option to spend those extra hours in bed, getting some much-needed rest.
Other than that, you will also have access to your own kitchen throughout your working
hours. This means that whenever you start feeling hungry, you will have the option to grab
some fruits or veggies rather than resorting to the bag of chips or candy bar you stuffed into
your backpack on your way out of your door.

4. Become more independent.
Last but not least, you will find yourself developing the skills of looking for your own answers
and becoming more proactive to find what you need on your own because you are no longer
surrounded by your colleagues. Therefore, whether you are working in office or the comfort
of your own home, you will simply end up with some skills.
