3:00pm - 4:00pm Sinkin' Carbon Learned how carbon dioxide are stored underground by using water, oil and carbon dioxide. Carbon storage is demonstrated by putting dry ice in a close-lid container contained with water and oil. The layer of bubbles represents the carbon dioxide that is being stored underground. In reality, carbon dioxide is injected into geological formations that are porous and permeable, such as saline aquifers or depleted oil and gas reservoirs. Location: Maker Studio

May - June 2023 9:00am - 5:00pm Fizz Buster Imagine your bottle to be a carbon dioxide production plant, and your balloon to be a container for the carbon dioxide to be safely trapped. This balloon's real-world equivalent would be a sizable underground reservoir, or, to put it another way, the enormous hole left in the Earth after oil or gas has been taken. For this Pancasains, we will basically demonstrate on how carbon capture works by mixing vinegar and sodium bicarbonate together to produce carbon dioxide gas which will inflate the balloon and is 'captured' rather than being released into the air. Location: Pancasains table
May - June 2023 9:00am - 5:00pm CARBON-opoly As a human being living on earth, have you ever wondered what are your actions that could contribute to a high carbon footprint? Join us in this interactive game to better understand our choices that could impact the climate change! Location: Pancasains table
