Job Purpose :
- Strategic Project Planning and Execution Oversight

- Resource Optimization and Workforce Planning
- Conduct a thorough analysis of project demands to forecast human and material resource needs. Implement strategic workforce planning and resource optimization techniques to enhance project efficiency and productivity, ensuring the right mix of skills and materials are available when needed.
- Project Research and Feasibility Studies
- Develop project feasibility studies, incorporating market analysis, technological trends, and regulatory landscapes to inform project scope and methodologies. Innovate by benchmarking against industry standards to adopt best practices, ensuring projects are both competitive and compliant.
- Budget Allocation and Financial Oversight
- Manage the allocation of project budgets, monitoring expenditures against financial forecasts. Utilize relevant project planning models to track project spending, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to manage costs effectively and ensure financial integrity.
- Project Reporting and Analytics
- Develop and deliver comprehensive project reports leveraging advanced analytics and performance metrics. Use insights to guide tactcal decisions, ensuring continuous improvement in project execution and stakeholder communication.
- Risk Management and Contingency Planning
- Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks, developing robust contingency plans to ensure project resilience. Orchestrate a proactive approach to risk management, safeguarding project outcomes and organizational objectives.
- Change Management and Process Improvement
- Plan & implement change management initiatives within project teams, fostering an agile and adaptive project culture. Implement continuous process improvements and best practices in project planning and execution, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across all projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Strategy
- Design and execute a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication across all project phases. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, government agencies, and industry partners, to support project objectives and organizational goals.
Qualification & Experiences:
- Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience of strategic project planning experience in a complex, technology-driven environment, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, innovative projects to successful completion, preferably in a large Science Centre or similar institution.
- Certifications in Project Management (PMP), Agile (Scrum Master), or Lean Six Sigma are highly advantageous.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Planner, equipped with the technical tools necessary for effective project planning and execution.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning tools, risk management frameworks, and stakeholder engagement strategies. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to apply WBS, CPM and Activity sequencing.

Job Purpose :
Manage and implement the operation of Satellite Center by stimulating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning and IR 4.0 education, to generate high value to PETRONAS which in line with industry standards and positioning PETROSAINS as a solution provider in meeting customer expectation which aligned with company vision and mission as well as PETRONAS Corporate Agenda.
Job Accountabilities :
- Satellite Center Management
- Assist satellite centers operation through standardized processes and performance monitoring, optimizing resource allocation, streamlining workflows and consistently delivering high-quality experiences.
- Coordinate staff and volunteer’s training to deliver high and impactful STEM programs which create high values to Petrosains visit experience.
- Implement health and safety regulations by staying abreast of evolving laws and standards.
- Gallery Experience
- Implement the end-to-end process of delivering effective STEM communication through exhibit facilitation to enhance engagement and understanding, thereby fostering increased interest in STEM.
- Implement the end-to-end process of delivering exceptional customer service aimed at high level satisfaction, thereby elevating our science center to the pinnacle of excellence.
- STEM Program Delivery (Science Center & Outreach)
- Coordinate the delivery of programs at the science center and outreach by overseeing matters such as schedules, budgets, logistics, HSE, etc to ensure uninterrupted activities whilst maintaining operational excellence and delivery of content and products are on par with company’s vision and becoming more credible and trusted STEM learning implementor.
- Coordinate and deliver the STEM offerings to public audience and participants at the science center and outreach through various platform (physical & digital) by ensuring innovative, entertaining, and enriched learning activities based on creative approaches to guarantee effective stimulation for participants and visitors, thus nurturing their curiosity and interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
- Conduct staff and volunteers’s training structure to deliver high and impactful STEM programs which create high values to Petrosains visit experience.
- Collaborate with Learning Development team to identify suitable STEM educational programs with the aim to increase understanding and appreciation of STEM, aligned with Petrosains Guiding Principle which contributes to higher values for PETRONAS/PETROSAINS.
- Coordinate and implement overall STEM Communications special projects or programs through research, bench marking and trialing to ensure all programs are contemporary, relevant and consistent with the company policies and practices.
- Monitoring Evaluation & Learning (MEL)
- Collaborate with the research team in developing and implementing the research tools for Petrosains STEM offerings beyond the science center to ensure programs achieve learning objectives and their impact is identified.
- Contribute to producing program reports including materials such as photos, videos, and content offerings.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with stakeholders (i.e. Ministry of Education, school and PTA, universities, PETRONAS local authorities, kindred and other relevant bodies and/or institutions) by assuring good networking in order to sustain possible support system, effective working relationships and rapport for future activities implementation and assistance.
- Department Key Areas
- Manage and support critical functions within the department, encompassing areas such as specialized programs, marketing, finance, and digital social media platforms. Employ strategic management, meticulous planning, and effective execution to enhance departmental capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
Qualification & Experiences:
- Degree in science / engineering / science communication / science education or any other related field
- 3-5 years of working experience in both formal and informal learning environment
- Excellent science communication skills and highly knowledgeable in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
- Excellent writing and presentation skills

Responsible for the coordination and execution of public relations and communications activities targeted to Petrosains’ selected stakeholder groups and business channels through various promotional/publicity/community relations activities and such, to maintain a favourable image of Petrosains, The Discovery Centre and the PETRONAS Twin Towers Visit. Amplify its brand and safeguard the reputation; and promote its products/offerings while strengthening relationship with the stakeholders.
Job Accountabilities :
Public Relation Management
Organise and coordinate PR and community events and activities for community relations purposes with the aim of ensuring a smooth flow of activities that observes the company standards while upholding the company image.
Event Management
Organise and coordinate business functions/corporate events that involves the presence of external parties, who are VIPs or otherwise, for example signing ceremony, project milestone, anniversary, launching ceremonies for offices/products, visit by dignitaries or high-ranking associates, etc. with the aim of ensuring a smooth flow of activities that adhere to company standard and event requirements, for both Petrosains, The Discovery Centre and PETRONAS Twin Towers Visit.
Company Collaterals
Coordinate the timely production and distribution of relevant company collaterals such as diaries, greeting cards, corporate gifts, etc, to ensure the timely delivery of the items and the smooth distribution to relevant stakeholders. Manage and undertake stock take of collateral inventory.
Media Relations
Coordinate media relations activities with members of the media, which include print, broadcast and digital media, through activities such as media coverage at premises, preparation and dissemination of media releases, handling press enquiries etc to ensure members of the media are well informed and that their requests for information on the various aspects of the company are attended to. Prepare media monitoring on monthly/ project/ crisis basis in a timely manner.
Corporate Communications
Responsible for the development of corporate communications material of the company, via communications tools/platforms such as company speeches, brochures, editorials, articles, website content, digital media content etc to ensure the accuracy and consistency of company messages, information and content. Attend to public enquiries, correspondences, research requests, internship, invitations etc from the various stakeholders to ensure timely responses of requests for messages, information, content etc.
Crisis Communications
Assist in managing crisis communications, when there is involvement of the company, for both Petrosains, The Discovery Centre and PETRONAS Twin Towers Visit, its employees and the media in a crisis, by mitigating any possibility of negative reviews or damage to company reputation via print, broadcast media or social platforms, to safeguard and uphold the company’s image and reputation.
Budget Management
Monitor the Corporate Communications budget via effective budget utilisation for events, campaigns, activities and programs, to increase exposure and awareness of the Petrosains and PETTVO brand and provide recognition for the company products and services.
Qualification & Experiences:
- Degree in Mass Communications/Public Relation/Marketing, or any relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience preferably in the Public Relations or Corporate Communications environment.
- Proficient in English and BM. Creativity and writing skills is a must.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of communications practices, tools and techniques in social media.
- Possesses strong analytical skills.
- Ability to project management with keen sense of strategy and timing and able to work under pressure.
- Willing to travel.
- Proficiency in creative execution is an added advantage (ie. Video editing)
