Pancasains
Piezoelectrics
Tap-tap-tap, Who's there? Piezoelectrics of course! A cleaner energy solution which generates electricity from wasted daily movements. Want to know how you can light up an LED using only your hands without a single battery or power source? Join us to find out!
Biomass / Bio briquettes
Discover how everyday waste can light up the world! This demonstration will take you into the eco-friendly world of bio-briquettes; an amazing way to turn your organic waste into a cleaner energy solution! Let's explore how these energy-packed briquettes can turn waste into renewable energy source for a more sustainable future.
Energy Detective
Gear up for an electrifying adventure where energy takes the spotlight! In this game, let's explore and uncover the hidden energy sources from our daily lives and convert them into electrical energy for our use. Can you find all the possible energy sources and master the energy conversion pathways? Let the power play begin!
Science Shows
Cleaner Energy Show
If humans get our energy from food, where does our earth and everything around us get their energy? Join us for an electrifying science show to discover different kinds of cleaner energy sources towards a more sustainable future!
Water Water Everywhere Show
Water is everywhere in our daily lives and one of the cleaner energy solutions, but do you know there is more than what meets the eyes? Step into a science show with cool demonstrations to learn more about the properties and characteristics of water.
Week Special
Offering | Date | Time | Description | Remarks |
---|---|---|---|---|
Magnetic Racing Car | 21st – 22nd Dec | 12.00pm | In the Magnetic Racing Car activity, participant will create a racing car by attaching magnets to the toy car to make it move without touching it! By placing a magnet on the car and using another magnet in their hand, they can push or pull the car across a surface. This demonstrates the invisible force of magnetism and how like poles repel while opposite poles attract, making it a fun and hands-on way to explore basic physics concepts. | Venue : Science Station 1 |
Piezo Card | 26th – 27th Dec | 12.00 pm | In the Piezo Card activity, participants will create a simple card embedded with a piezoelectric material that generates electricity when pressed. By pressing the card, they can light up an LED or power a tiny buzzer, demonstrating how mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy. This hands-on activity is one of the ways to explore the science of piezoelectricity and learn about sustainable energy solutions. | Venue : Science Station 1 |
DIY Briquettes | 28th – 29th Dec | 3.00 pm | Participants can create briquettes by compressing shredded paper, sawdust, dried leaves, or other organic materials into compact blocks using simple molds or presses. Once dried, these briquettes can be used as an alternative to charcoal or firewood for cooking or heating. This activity demonstrates sustainable waste management, energy conservation, and how renewable energy sources can reduce dependence on non-renewable fuels. | Venue : Science Station 1 |
